T.Tucker The Cratchits are having a feast and Mr. Cratchit says let's make a toast to Mr. Scrooge. Mrs. Cratchit says," the founder of the feast indeed! I wish I had him here. I'd give him a peice of my mind to feast upon, and I hope he'd have a good appetite for it." on page 51 He also saw that tiny Tim is very sick and if nothing changes in the future he will die. Scrooge realizes how sad that would be and he wants to change things so that tiny Tim will not die soon. Page 50
What Scrooge saw at the Cratchit's house was them having a feast when Mr.Cratchit says "Lets Have A Toast To Mr.Scrooge".Mrs.Cratchit didn't like that because she said,"I wish he was here. I'd give him a piece of my mind to feast upon"pg 51.What he also saw was Tiny Tim very sick,he knew then that if he didn't change Tiny Tim would die because of him. What scrooge realized was what monster he was to do this to the Cratchit's and all the people around him.T.Tucker I very much agree with how Scrooge felt after this sad Stave.K.Tapia
I agree with T.Tucker and K.Tapia because Scrooge seeing Tiny Tim in the condiction he is in makes him feel guilty. He knowing that full well if he did not change the way he was that Tiny Tim would die. Scrooge probably did not want that to happen because of what he went through with his former partner Marley's death. Its states on pg. 51 "Lets have a toast to Mr. Scrooge, the founder of our feast" said Mr. Cratchit, and Mrs. Crathit said "The fouder of ourfeast indeed! I wish he was here. I'd give him a piece of my mind to feast upon." Scrooge asked the spirit "Will Tiny Tim make it?" and the spirit replied "If he does he better do it to decrease the supulse population."
P.S. sorry if I got anything incorrect i don't have the book with me, but I'm pretty sure something like that happened if not I'll justrepost my comment when I have the book with me. :) C.Douglas
I agree with K.Tapia.Scrooge really realizes how has treated Mr.Cratchit.After that scrooge really wants to change how he has acted to the Cratchit family.Scrooge saw how sick Tiny Tim is and wants to see if there is anything that he can do to help get him more healthy and less sick.
I agree with K.Tapia, because Scrooge saw Tiny Tim at the feast in horrible sickly condition because Scrooge does not care to give the Crachit family enough money to at least try to help save Tiny Tim,Scrooge realizes that if he does not change his selfish actions, that maybe in the future there may not even be a Tiny Tim to try to help. Also Scrooge see and hears how the Crachit family truly thinks about him, for ex. on (pg.51)"on which one drinks the heath of such an odious, stingy, hard, unfeeling man as Mr.Scrooge." So Scrooge gets a look at how selfish and not caring man he is, and then he gets hints that if he starts to care then maybe other people will start to think better of him and maybe if he canges Tiny Tim will still be there to celebrate more Christmas's with his family.
i agree with k.tapia when he saw that tiny tim was sick and could die and mr.cracthit still wanted to make a toast for scrooge even thoughe he is a jerk but mrs.cratchit dosnt want to because she hates scrooge.i found that out on page,51 when it sais"will tiny tim make it."then mr.cratchet said,"lets have a toast to scrooge founder of the feast.""founder of this feast indeed."said mrs cratchet."i wish he were here ill give a oiece of my mind." or something like that i dont have the book on me right now but i remember it being that way.T.Bennett
Scrooge is lead by another spirit to the Crachit's home. Right than Scrooge realized the point of view of Mrs. Cratchit and Mr.Cratchit's opinions upon him. Like in pg.51 Mrs.Cratchit says "The founder of the feast indeed!" "I wish i had him here.I'd give him a piece of my mind to feast upon, and hope he'd have a good appetite for it." Scrooge than realizes that Mrs. Cratchit isn't real happy about him and she has some kind of anger inside her against him. As Scrooge is at thier house he also sees Tiny Tim is very very ill and he knows that if he dies it is going to be very sad for everone. Scrooge here shows that he has a change in emotion he even says "Spirit," said Scrooge with an interest he had never felt before, "tell me if Tiny Tim will live." Scrooge then feels so bad and realizes what a jerk he has been to that family when Mr. Cratchit still defends him against his own wife because he is his boss and everyone in that family has a big heart it's just they all use it differently.
I agree with M.Cabra, by being at the Cratchit's house , Scrooge realizes that he has been a mean, selfish, and a non-caring person and that now people think bad about him. But maybe if Scrooge changes people will see someone different in him and think better of him. Also by visiting that house Scrooge feels real bad for Tiny Tim and he gets hints that if he changes and trieds to help maybe Tiny Tim can live and celebrate many more Christmas with his family. M.Cabra I say you made a good point there. A.Perez
I agree with A.Perez, the Cratchit family are having a feast and scrooge is taken to there house by a spirit and thats when he realizes what the Cratchit's think of him.On page 51 it says "The founder of the feast indeed!" cried Mrs.Crachit,redddening."I wish i had him here.I'd give him a piece of my mind to feast upon, and i hope he'd have a good appetite for it" Scrooge also saw that tiny tim wasnt very well and was in danger of dieing but Scrooge doesnt want that to happen so he wants things to change so nothing bad will happen to tiny tim. M.Prieto
Right when scrooge gets to Mrs.Crachit house by a spirit he sees the bad look on her face and Scrooge realizes that she really dosent like him at that point. On (page.51) it says " the founder of the feast indeed!",cried Mrs.Crachit, reddening " I wish I had him here.I'd give him a piece of my mine to feast upon, and u hope he'd have a good appetite for it"
Also what Scrooge saw was that tiny Tim was sick and wasent feeling okay and that made scrooge feel bad and he didn't want anything bad happening to tiny Tim so he tried to change things so nothing bad will happen. That time it really change Scrooge to not be all mad all the time, that made him really recgonize things.
Scrooge sees the Cratchits' eating a small dinner for such a big family. Also he sees Bob and tiny Tim walk in from church with braces all over tiny Tim's legs.Scrooge asks the Ghost of Christmas Present if tiny Tim will live or die.
Peer Responce:I agree with M. Prieto Scrooge does see the Cratchits' eating a small dinner and how Mrs. Cratchit despises Scrooge and talking about him at dinner. S.Morrison
i agree with m.prieto he dose see how small of a dinner they have and how much mrs.crachet hates scrooge because of how badle that scrooge treats her husband.
I agree with m.prieto scrooge can see that ms crachet hated him because of how bad he treated bob but bob still defends him and says "A TOAST to scrooge the founder of our feast" after he says that mrs. crachet said "the founder of the feest indeed!!!!!!!"id like to give him a peice of my mind hed better have a good apetite for it"PG.50,51 A. GALBREATH
I agree with M.Prieto That did change him forever when he saw Tiny Tim dieing because his parents could not afford to cure him. Like it says on pg.51 "I wish I had him here. I'd give him a piece of my mind to feast upon, and I hope he'd have a good appetite for it." O.Balmaceda
I agree with T.TUCKER. While Scrooge was at the cratchit's house he see's that mrs.Cratchit does not like him because on page 51 it says "i wish i had him here. I'd give him a piece of my mind and i'd hope he have an appetite for it." he can see that he has mad alot of people angry by the actions he has takin. Also he relized that if he did'nt take recovery and change the actions that he has takin that Tiny Tim might die or be more indangered for his health if he was not to step up to the plate. Ithink he also learns that not everybody likes him they just put on a play face around him because he's the boss and they dont want to loose there job because they dont know where else they would go. But in conculsion i think that Scrooge looked at everything and relized his change was for the better and it saved a life. M.Sigmon
I agree with omar that Scrooge is sad because on (pg50)it says that "Scrooge hung his head and was in penitence and grief."scrooge loved tiny tim all this time but he didnt really show it until he heard that he was going to die. T.shedd
I agree with T.Shedd because Scrooge never showed that he cared about anyone. Then when he sees that someone is feeling like he did when marley died. Now he knows that other people have feelings. On pg50"Spirit,"said Scrooge, with an interest he had never felt before,"tell me if Tiny Tim will live." T.SELF
In stave 3 Scrooge gets a visit by the ghost of christmas past. While his visit he see' s Bob Cratchet and his family spending christmas together. And asks if Tiny Tim would live then starts to feel bad, realizing Tiny Tim might die. Here is a quote stating this "Spirit", said Scrooge, with an interest he had never felt before,"tell me if Tiny Tim will live." A.Romero
